Energy City Harriers

Energy City Harriers (formerly known as the New Plymouth Harrier Club) was founded in 1929.

The club caters for runners at all levels of ability. We have members who run just for fun and fitness and who don’t want to compete with other clubs, and others who like the thrill of competition. The club also encourages walkers to participate in club activities.

Our clubrooms are situated in the Marist United Cricket Clubrooms at St Josephs School, on Calvert Road and only minutes away from the centre of town. Changing rooms, hot showers and bar facilities are available.

Our club operates mainly during the winter season for the cross-country and road season, (which runs from March through to October on Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons). During the summer we operate a marathon clinic on Saturdays and a social BBQ run series on Wednesday nights.
